Angry Democrats want to kill the economy by boycotting as many purchases as possible over the next four years of life under President Donald Trump.
According to reports, some leftists are stockpiling everything they think they will need now to avoid having to shop once Trump is inaugurated and the economy is officially his.
“Trump will not have a good economy because we don’t have to let him,” an X / Twitter account called @PrezLives2022 tweeted. “I myself plan on paying my bills and saving every penny beyond that. I will not contribute to this economy in any other way.”
As for needed clothing, the same X / Twitter user said he plans to strategically purchase everything he needs “before [Trump] takes office and make sure I have everything I need for the next four years.”
Eating out will only be done in “an emergency that cannot be avoided,” this person added, noting that he will also avoid going to the movies, attending sporting events, or partaking in “any local attractions.”
“New furniture or household goods will wait until 2028,” he continues. “I’m going to install a few other search bars and avoid Google as much as possible. I will not buy a new car before 2028. I will do everything in my power to hold on to as many dollars as possible.”

Another X user with the handle of @mmpadellan that has 1.3 million followers has similar plans for the next four years.
“Over the next four years, I highly suggest folks tighten their belts and spend as little as possible, except for the essentials like food, utilities, rent, etc.,” this account tweeted. “After riding the coattails of President Biden’s AMAZING economy for his first six months in office, trump is going to destroy it with his dumb policies.”
“Not buying extra shit will help sink his economy too. It won’t be hard, since everything will be 300% more expensive. Save that money. PASS IT ON.”
As for Trump’s tariffs plan, which could eventually eliminate the federal income tax, leftists are upset about this, too, because they believe that it “will sink the economy.”
Even though the U.S. economy under Joe Biden has become prohibitively expensive for millions due to inflation, leftists who oppose Trump say that this is the “second good economy [Trump’s] being handed to tank, like his businesses.”
Conservatives, meanwhile, cannot believe their eyes. Why would someone want to tank an entire economy just to stick it to what they consider an unwelcomed politician? What will this accomplish other than to hurt the working poor in the end?
“Going all the way back to the Truman administration, inflation was much higher during the periods of divided government than unified government,” reported the Breitbart Business Digest about Trumponomics, as they are now calling it, which is slated to begin on Jan. 20, 2024.
“I give them a week before they need a Starbucks coffee, a new iPhone, or conditioner for their man buns,” a conservative commenter joke about the situation.
“Name me one boycott the left tried that actually worked,” wrote another.
“I suspect that more people will be buying when Trump enters office, not less, because prices will come down,” wrote another. “Zero common sense with these people.”
“Does this include short shelf-life items like bread, fresh veggies, and refilling gas tanks?” asked another about the boycott. “Will they buy four years of home and auto insurance? Put up a four-year estimated deposit on utilities?”
